Feeling the cold? Those very talented folk at Australian Country Spinners have devised this pattern for you to download for free. We love it! It’s just the thing for the cooler days and nights. And it’s made for the beginner knitter in mind (though, of course, don’t let that put you off if you are an intermediate or advanced knitter).

It’s a ‘one size fits all’ and the pattern uses Cleckheaton Country 8-ply.

NEEDLES AND EXTRAS

  • 1 pair 4.5mm (UK 7) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension
  • Wool needle for finishing

TENSION

This wrap has been designed at a tension of 20 sts and 40 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 4.5mm needles.
To work a tension square, using 4.5mm needles, cast on 30 sts.
Work 60 rows garter st (every row knit). Cast off loosely.
Check your tension carefully.
If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use larger needles.

NOTE – This wrap is worked on larger needles and at a looser tension than usually recommended for this yarn.
