This is the perfect cardigan for those in-between seasons, when it’s neither hot nor cold. Australian Country Spinners created the pattern, which is suitable for Intermediate knitters. It uses Patons Embrace 2-ply yarn in silver, though of course you can use whichever colour you like.
NEEDLES AND EXTRAS
- 1 pair each 5.00mm (UK 6) and 6.00mm (UK 4) knitting needles plus one 7.00mm (UK 2) knitting needle or size needed to give correct tension.
- Wool needle for sewing seams.
TENSION
19 sts and 25 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 6.00mm needles.
To work a tension square, using 6.00mm needles, cast on 29 sts.
Work 38 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely.
Check your tension carefully.
If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use larger needles.
NOTE –This cardigan is worked on larger needles and at a looser tension than usually recommended for this yarn.

I’ve downloaded this pattern twice, nothing on my computer will open it. Any suggestions?
Hi Sharon
I’m not sure why that is happening. It is a PDF, so if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader you should be able to open it. I can only think that maybe your Acrobat Reader needs updating to the latest version?
