Floral jardinière

Turn old tin cans into pretty floral vases.

Don’t throw out those old tin cans. With a bit of soap and water, they scrub up nicely. Use pretty napkins to transform them into beautiful vessels. You can then use them to hold pens and pencils, kitchen utensils, or flowers.

You need:

Old tin cans, labels removed
Patterned paper napkins of your choice
Modge Podge or other craft glue
Paintbrush
Sealer

1. Make sure your tin is clean, then brush Modge Podge all over the outside and just on the inside of the container.

2. Cover with your paper napkins, allowing the napkins to go over the top and bottom edges. Apply another layer of Modge Podge and, using your fingers, smooth the paper down, pushing it into the grooves of the can, and removing any bubbles.

3. Allow to dry and apply a sealer on top.

4. Poke or drill holes through the top of the cans and insert string for hanging.
