Crochet a pansy-covered tea cosy

This tea cosy makes the perfect gift for friends.

Those clever folk at Australian Country Spinners have crafted this gorgeous tea cosy. It uses Patons Totem 8-ply, with black as the main colour and various colours for the pansies.

HOOK AND EXTRAS

• 4.00mm (UK 8) crochet hook or size needed to give correct tension.
• Wool needle for sewing seams and embroidery.

TENSION

17dc and 21 rows to 10cm over dc fabric, using 4.00mm hook.

To work a tension square, using 4.00mm hook, make 25ch. Work 30 rows dc fabric. Fasten off.

Check your tension carefully.

If less sts use a smaller hook, if more sts use a bigger hook.
