Design your own fabric

We love the idea of printing your own fabric. Textile designer Karen Barbé whipped up this lovely hand-printed design using a kind of cross-stitch pattern. She used a piece of clear polycarbonate sheeting for her stamp base and glued on small pieces of foam for the pattern. A fabric paint was then applied with a roller, then Karen printed onto natural cotton muslin. Looks so easy! Check out more photos and information here. Does anyone else print their own fabric?
