DIY paper cut-outs

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

These cut-out floral designs are easier to make than they look, and all that’s required is pencil, paper, glue and craft knife.

Use two contrasting coloured papers or card to make the design stand out. On one of the papers, draw your flower design in pencil. It can be as simple or as intricate as you desire.

Place the piece of paper on a cutting mat (or something to protect the surface you’re cutting on) and cut around the flower outline with a craft knife, leaving part of the petal or leaf uncut. Cut around the stem and grass outlines entirely to remove the paper.

Once cut, glue the paper to your contrasting paper and lift out the petals and leaves for a 3-D effect. You can fold the paper in half to form a card or frame it.
